Untitled (Chair) is an installation comprised of the artist's own high school history book and classroom armchair.

The work analyzes periods in Philippine history as recorded in schoolbooks and attempts to articulate issues of race, class, gender through a re-working of the text. The interventions come in the form of erasing lines, restating them, adding/changing pictures or even inserting more pages into the book to underline how Filipino questions regarding culture, identity, politics and history are strategically invisible from the textbook to conform to a framework of a “universal” notion of history.
