The installation piece I decided not to wake up consists of vacuum packed foam scraps that form a shallow wading pool/ bed and a vintage black and white wedding picture on the wall. The installation is lit with a high-powered set light and installed in an old paint factory space. The references of bed, pool, dismembered cushions, and a hand retouched vintage wedding photo make for an eerie staging of marriage and its 'perfect' veneer.

The works in the group exhibition all reference Mariah Carey's 1993 song, Dream Lover
